Minnesota United FC Partners With Read Indeed For June 8 Book Drive
Receive 1 Free Ticket with 5 Book Donation At Game
Minnesota United FC has partnered with local nonprofit literacy organization Read Indeed to encourage book donations at their next home game against the Fort Lauderdale Strikers at the HHH Metrodome Saturday, June 8. Attendees will receive one free game ticket for every five books donated (maximum two tickets per household).
Read Indeed is the vision of Maria Keller, a book-loving 7th grader who wants to make the world a better place—one book at a time. Maria began collecting books when she was 8 years old, and her goal is to collect and distribute 3 million books to needy kids by the time she turns 18 years old. Minnesota United FC is the first sports team partnering with Read Indeed on book drives. The book drive is part of Minnesota United FC’s ongoing commitment to supporting the local community, making professional soccer accessible, and giving back.
To make a donation: Bring your books to the Metrodome on Saturday, beginning at 5:00 PM. Read Indeed will have a table set up outside Gates H and F collecting books and handing out tickets for 5 and 10 book donations. The largest donation at the Metrodome on Saturday will be upgraded with 2 pitch seats for the game.
