Minnesota United Visits Groveland Elementary School
On Wednesday, October 23 three Minnesota United FC players went to Groveland Elementary school to not only walk the walk but also to talk the talk in the community. United midfielders Simone Bracalello and Lucas Rodriguez along with defender Luis Piffer went to Groveland Elementary to speak to the Spanish Immersion program students and talk about their lives as soccer players. What made this trip so special? It was all done in Spanish.
The players participated in two separate sessions with the Groveland Elementary Spanish Immersion program students. The players spoke in Spanish throughout the day in explaining different soccer drills and tricks. They told the students how they got to Minnesota and also answered all sorts of questions from the students. The Groveland Elementary students were ecstatic to have United players at their school and showing off their expert soccer skills.
